Here's another Navy gas station, !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , the USNS Yukon.
I captured one of her sister ships, the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , previously. The neat thing about these "Fleet Replenishment Oilers" is that they have a mixed Navy and civilian crew. According to Wiki the ship's complement includes 1 Navy officer, 18 civilian officers, 64 merchant seamen ("seamen" LOL! I'm 12!) and 20 Navy enlisted personnel. That must make for some interesting interpersonal dynamics aboard.

Love your ship spotting V.F.M.D. stories. I used to be stationed on the USS Valley Forge (CG-50) out of San Diego so I no doubt went by your deck (or more likely where it was to be built) many times.
